FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of a powder charge containing 95% by weight of tungsten, the rest is nickel and iron in a ratio of 7:3, addition of a blowing agent into the charge, pressing the charge to produce a billet, removing the blowing agent from the billet and sintering. As a tungsten powder, a powder with an average Fisher particle size of 1.3-1.7 μm is used, and ammonium carbonate is used as the blowing agent. Sintering is carried out at a temperature of 1170-1210°C for 0.5-1.0 hours in a vacuum at a pressure of not more than 0.065 Pa (5×10-4 mm Hg).

EFFECT: improving the quality of products, increasing the strength of products, eliminating cracking in the manufacture of large-sized porous products.
