FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Method of sintered bars from heavy alloys based on tungsten involves preparing mixture of powders containing 90-98 wt% of tungsten, rest is nickel, iron and cobalt, pressing in rigid female die, extrusion powder of matrix with subsequent sintering. Before pressing extraction from mould pressing is heat treated at 800-1,000 °C for 1-2 hours with cooling in die mold.
EFFECT: production of qualitative blanks without cracks and bundles.
