FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: test bench for gas turbine engines includes a load device that can be connected to the shaft of a free power turbine of the test gas turbine engine. As a load device, a synchronous reversible turbogenerator is used, the rotor shaft of which has the ability to connect at one end to the shaft of the free power turbine of the test gas turbine engine. Another free end of the turbogenerator rotor can be equipped with a mechanical braking device. The bench is equipped with the excitation system of a turbogenerator, an independent active ballast load and a command unit. Stator electric circuits of the turbogenerator are able to connect to the ballast load, the electrical circuits of the turbogenerator rotor windings are connected to the excitation system. The turbogenerator comprises a rotational speed sensor of its shaft connected to the command unit connected to the excitation system and having the possibility of connecting to the gas sector of the test gas turbine engine.

EFFECT: invention allows to expand the functionality of the bench.
