FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: artificial satellites of the Earth (artificial earth satellites) are used as sources of mobile objects. The method includes measuring the zenith angles of the direction-finding satellites, bringing the measured zenith angle to the central zenith angle, calculating the measured and reduced angle and coordinates of the satellites of the location coordinates of the mobile object. The proposed method and device allow to increase the accuracy of determining the coordinates of the mobile object - aircraft 1.9-2 times, and also 2-2.5 times reduce the direction-finding time to achieve the required accuracy (1.85 km).
EFFECT: improving the accuracy.
