SUBSTANCE: way and the generator rotor current measuring device with the brushless excitation provide direct generator rotor current measure in the noncontact current measuring node. They differ from others because they form the magnetic field, the value of which is proportional to the rotor current, with the help of the inductor mounted on the rotor with the capability of the rotatory motion together with the rotor. They also convert the magnetic field into an electrical signal by means of the magnetic field sensor mounted on the generator housing with the capability of the inductor magnetic field value measuring.

EFFECT: accuracy, reliability and survivability of the entire measurement system increasing, the capability of using it as the facility intended for the diagnostics of technical condition of the generators with the brushless excitation.
