FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: braking accelerator of an automatic pneumatic brake contains two brake line discharge accelerators set at different ends of the carriage, a DC source. Each brake line discharge accelerator represents a housing inside which the piston, the ferromagnetic stall valve, the stall valve seat and the two-position electrical switch are placed. The piston and the stall valve seat form in the housing the accelerator, line and atmospheric chambers, respectively. The line chamber is pneumatically connected to the brake line and, through a calibrated opening in the piston, with the accelerator chamber. The switch is placed in the accelerator chamber, and with a movable contact is associated with the piston rod. An electromagnetic coil is rigidly fixed on the housing coaxially with the stall valve. In each braking accelerator, both its brake airline discharge accelerators and the DC source are electrically connected together.
EFFECT: reducing braking distance.
