FIELD: railways.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. In the emergency braking system for cargo railway transport, the pneumatic braking unit is built on the use of an air distributor communicating by the inputs of the main part and the base part with the brake line, and communicating by the outputs with the spare tank of the brake system and via two pressure relays with the brake cylinders. The brake line via one channel communicates with the executive part of the emergency braking accelerator, made in the form of pistons with control cavities, and via another channel communicates with the main part and the base part of the air distributor, with the restrictive valve, with the control part of the emergency braking accelerator, and with the accelerating chamber communicating with the control part of the emergency braking accelerator, and simultaneously communicating with the executive part of the emergency braking accelerator in the cavity above the stall valve and with the control part of said accelerator under the exciter valve. Two pressure relays forming a relay circuit are intended for reducing the filling time of the brake cylinders and are each made in the form of piston-type distributors, the output of each whereof communicates with the brake cylinders, some inputs communicate with the spare tank, and the control cavities of the distributors thereof communicate with the control chambers of the main and base parts, wherein the cross sections of the channels of communication of the outputs with the brake cylinders and the channels of communication with the spare tank in said pressure relays are made of a size equal to the size of the section of the pipeline extending from the spare tank.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of control of the emergency braking process.
