FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves pre-purifying flue gases from sulfur dioxide by passing gases at the temperatures above 100°C through a sorbent containing manganese dioxide, neutralizing nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide in the resulting gas mixture by directing the gas mixture at the temperature of 150 to 350°C through a catalytic flow type reactor with an integrated catalyst layer containing a mixture of metal oxides, followed by cooling to the temperature of 4-8°C, adsorbing carbon dioxide in the adsorber with activated carbon, removing the purified gas mixture from carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, desorbing carbon dioxide by heating the adsorber to the temperature not exceeding 90°C and vacuumizing the devices, thin purifying the resulting carbon dioxide from dust and impurities by passing it or using ion-exchange filters or a sorbent coated with either a layer or an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate, drying, compressing and cooling carbon dioxide to produce a liquid commodity.

EFFECT: increasing the yield of carbon dioxide and improving environmental safety.
