FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: injector has a housing to accommodate: a syringe with a needle, the syringe is placed in the housing with a posibility of movement between the first position in which the needle is positioned within the housing and the second position in which the needle protrudes outwardly from the housing; a piston rod, constructed to advance the syringe to deliver at least one dose of the drug; a piston rod tube having at least one locking member configured to interact with the stopper to lock the piston rod to the piston rod tube in the normal state; a syringe actuator, configured for force application to the syringe thereby moving the syringe from the first position to the second position, wherein the syringe actuator is also configured to advance the piston rod tube from the piston rod to the second position; a piston rod actuator configured for force application to the piston rod to advance the piston rod in the syringe to deliver at least one dose of drug. At that, the housing is configured to unlock the stopper and disconnectthe piston rod from the piston rod tube, when the syringe and the piston rod tube are advanced to the second position, thereby activating the piston rod actuator to advance the piston rod in the syringe to deliver at least one dose of drug. At that, the stopper comprises at least one deflectable element, and the housing is configured to provide at least one deflecting element with a possibility to deflect from the piston rod, when the syringe and the piston rod tube are advanced into the second position.
EFFECT: reduced risk of damp injection.
