RECHARGEABLE AUTOMATED INJECTOR Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61M5/20

Abstract RU 2624514 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: injector comprises a housing for accommodation of a syringe assembly including a syringe with a needle, the and syringe assembly is positioned in the housing for movement between the first position in which the needle is positioned within the housing and the second position in which the needle extends outside from the housing, and also comprises: a piston rod adapted to advance in the syringe to deliver at least one dose of the drug; piston rod drive adapted for force application to the piston rod to advance the piston rod in the syringe to deliver at least one dose of the drug; syringe actuator configured to apply force to the syringe assembly, thereby moving the syringe from the first position to the second position. Moreover, the automated injector also includes a rechargeable handle adapted to recharge the automatic injector to deliver another dose of the drug. At that, the rechargeable handle is attached to the syringe assembly so that the user's manipulation of the rechargeable handle pulls the syringe assembly back to the first position and simultaneously recharges the syringe drive, so as to prepare the automated injector to deliver another dose of the drug. Moreover, syringe drive and piston drive are separate drive means. Moreover, the syringe drive comprises an elastic device, such as a spring such as a compression spring. The automated injector further comprises a syringe stopper, a syringe adapted for locking in the first position, and a skin sensor adapted to disengage the stopper from the syringe after a contact with the user's skin, the skin sensor is activated by pressing the skin sensor to the user's skin. Skin sensor activation is configured to cause upward movement of the skin sensor, wherein the inclined surface of the skin sensor is adapted for engagement with the inclined surface of the syringe stopper converting longitudinal movement of the skin sensor to pivoting movement of the syringe stopper. Moreover, the syringe assembly rests on the lip of the syringe stopper to lock the syringe in the first position, wherein the pivoting movement of the syringe stopper releases the syringe assembly. At that, the syringe assembly comprises a syringe assembly tab, the syringe assembly tab is configured to move in the guide groove of the syringe stopper from the released position adjacent to the lip to the end stopper of the syringe stopper. At that, the syringe assembly is moved from the first position to the second position when the syringe assembly tab moves in the guide groove of the syringe stopper from the released position to the end stopper of the syringe stopper.

EFFECT: increased application convenience.
