SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for checking pivotal winding of the rotor of the rotary electric machine, which consists of measuring the temperatures of the individual rods (22) shaft of the rotor winding (20) via a sensor (34) of the thermal radiation located in the stator (32) of the rotary electric machine (30) and evaluation of the read sensor values (34) of the thermal radiation. In this case the rotor speed (20) must be less than a predetermined limit speed sensor (34) of the thermal radiation, divided by the number of the winding core rods, and the frequency should be greater than the reading speed of the rotor (20) multiplied by the number of rods (22).

EFFECT: increase of reliability of electric machines by measuring the temperature of local parts of the rotor in all modes.
