FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: rotary knob contains a handle, a rod, a strap, and a handle position retainer. Wherein the handle on the inside has a projection with one or two faces and an opening coaxial with it, in which the rod is fixed. The strap is installed on the handle projection with the possibility of rotating around it. In the strap on the side opposite to the handle, the handle position retainer is arranged. Wherein the handle position retainer is made in the form of a U-shaped insert with one or two plate-shaped C-shaped clamping brackets mounted on the lateral insert sides with the possibility of interaction of their convex surfaces with the projection faces of the handle when it is rotated. The insert and the strap have elements ensuring the resistance to the rotation of the insert relative to the strap. A rotary knob, in which the insert is L-shaped with a plate-shaped C-shaped clamping bracket, is also proposed.
