SUBSTANCE: device comprises: a controlled framing module for framing an audio signal to provide a sequence of the sample framed blocks; a converter for converting the sequence of the sample framed blocks into the spectral representation comprising a sequence of the spectral value frames; a transition location detector to identify the transition location in the anticipation transferring area in the frame; and a controller to control the controlled framing module, to apply a particular window having a predetermined overlapping length, to the audio signal in response to the identified transition location, where the controller is configured to select the particular window of the group of, at least, three windows, including the first window having the first overlapping length, the second window having the second overlapping length, and the third window having the third overlapping or non-overlapping length.

EFFECT: providing an improved audio encoding, decoding, providing the increase of the device performance.
