FIELD: items for personal use.
SUBSTANCE: absorbent article (20) for personal care, having a body facing surface and an opposite facing surface to the garment. The article has a front region (Z1), a rear region (Z3) and an intermediate region (Z2) of the perineum. The absorbent article comprises, on each longitudinal side, a sealing collar (32) and a barrier leg cuff (34) formed from the same web of non-woven barrier material (110). A nonwoven barrier material web is attached at least in the crotch region (Z2) to the top sheet by a plurality of mechanical and/or thermal fasteners (70). Mentioned plurality of mechanical and/or thermal fastenings in the crotch region defines a longitudinally extending fastening region (71) characterized by a width W1. The adhesive (75) holds the top sheet with the bottom sheet in the crotch area such that the adhesive covers at least 20% of the bonding area, which is also characteristic for the case when the adhesive is arbitrarily shifted sideways to any distance up to 4 mm.
EFFECT: improved reliability.
