FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: spherical sound absorber contains the sound absorbers of active and reactive types, placed on the rigid frame. The frame is made of two parts, at that the bottom, reactive part is made in the spherical form structure with internal congruent spherical resonant cavity, formed by the rigid spherical solid spherical shell, connected with the top active part, that is made in the form of the rigid perforated cylindrical shell with the perforated cover and the solid base. The cavity of the cylindrical shell is filled with the sound absorbing material, and the connection between the sound absorber top and bottom parts is made by means of the elastic damping element, providing to damp the high-frequency oscillations. The element by which the frame is fixed to the required object, for example, the ceiling of the production room, is hinged to the perforated cylindrical shell perforated cover, and the spherical resonance cavity of the frame reactive part is rigidly connected by at least one sleeve with the axial hole, operating as the Helmholtz resonator neck, with external perforated spherical shell, and the space between them is filled with the sound absorber. At that the mineral wool on the basalt basis of the Rockwool type, or mineral wool of the URSA type, or basalt wool of the P-75 type, or the glass wool with the glass fiber lining is used as the sound-absorbing material for filling the cavity of rigid perforated cylindrical shells. The inner surfaces of the perforated cylindrical shells are lined with the acoustically transparent material, for example, the glass fiber of the EZ-100 type or the polymer of the "poviden" type.

EFFECT: efficiency improvement of the noise suppression at high frequencies by introducing the volumetric cavities for Helmholtz resonators into the single piece sound absorber, that increase the efficiency at high frequencies.
