FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of reducing noise in industrial and transport facilities. Sound absorber comprises active and reactive acoustic absorbers located on a rigid frame. Frame is made of two parts, lower reactive part is made in form of a structure with a toroidal shape of hollow spherical cross-section with internal congruent spherical resonant cavity formed by rigid spherical enclosure, equidistant outer perforated spherical shell connected with top active part is made in form of a rigid perforated cylindrical shell with perforated cover and solid base. Cavity of the cylindrical shell is filled with sound absorbing material. Connection of the top and bottom parts of the sound absorber is made by the resilient damping element ensuring dampening of HF oscillations. To the perforated cover of the perforated cylindrical shell the element is hingedly connected, using it the framework is secured to the required facility, for example, to ceiling of the production room. Spherical resonance cavity of reactive part of frame is rigidly connected by at least one sleeve with axial bore that doubles as neck of Helmholtz resonator with external perforated spherical enclosure, and space between them is filled with sound absorber.

EFFECT: invention improves efficiency of noise suppression at high frequencies by introducing a single-piece sound-absorber of volumetric cavities for Helmholtz resonators.
