SUBSTANCE: provide the process gas (22) containing the hydrocarbon. The hydrocarbon in the combustion subsystem (12) is burned to produce electric energy (24) and a combustion product stream (26) containing carbon dioxide and water. In the first separation subsystem (16), the first amount of carbon dioxide (50) is separated from the combustion product stream (48) by physical adsorption. In the second separation subsystem (18) disposed sequentially and downstream of the first separation subsystem, a second amount of carbon dioxide (60) is separated from the combustion product stream (52) by chemical absorption.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of separating carbon dioxide from process gas.
