FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing the feedstock with an oxidant, mainly oxygen, and a partial oxidation of the feedstock in the combustion chamber of the flow cooled reactor with obtaining a gas mixture containing hydrogen, mono-, and carbon dioxide, water vapour and byproducts of combustion, which are moisturized and cooled to a predetermined temperature by injecting water into the gas stream and a two-stage vapour catalytic conversion of carbon monoxide is carried out with the subsequent release of hydrogen. Herewith hydrocarbon feedstock pre-purified from sulphur is heated, moistened with water vapour, and mixed with an oxidizer, the partial oxidation of the feedstock is carried out in the combustion chamber at a pressure of 7.0-6.0 Mpa, the heat of the vapour and gas mixtures is used for heating the feedstock and obtaining water vapour, the vapour catalytic conversion of carbon monoxide is carried out on a single catalytic composition using a one-type Cu-Zn-cement-containing catalyst in three steps. The release of hydrogen is carried out by sequential cooling the gas mixture with the separation of condensed water, and then further cooling the gas mixture with the separation of the carbon dioxide condensate.
EFFECT: preventing the formation of soot at the outlet of the gas generator, increasing the volume concentration of hydrogen at the outlet of the gas generator, increasing the efficiency, providing the environmental technology purification of hydrogen produced and increasing the thermal efficiency of the installation for the production of hydrogen.
