FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: turf (3) of artificial origin (artificial turf) and turf (2) of natural origin (natural turf) are arranged on an elastic porous interlayer (membrane) (4). The membrane (4) is formed so as to pass the growing roots (5) of the above turf (2) of natural origin to vegetative layer (7) located below. The membrane (4) absorbs the energy of impacts on the surface and prevents tamping the vegetation layer (7) of the roots (5), located below. The membrane is made in the form of a three-dimensional net obtained from an elastic material of polymer origin. The method of sward cultivation comprises the following stages: a) planting the seeds of natural turf (2) on the fertile layer of the soil (8) located on the base (9) supporting the fibers (10) of the artificial sod (3), and on an elastic permeable interlayer-membrane (4) made in the form of a three-dimensional net obtained from an elastic material of polymeric origin; b) cultivating the natural turf (2) to a height corresponding to or greater than the length of the fibers (10) of the artificial turf (3); the roots (5) of the above natural turf (2) till their penetrating through the base (9) and reaching the vegetation layer (7) disposed below; and c) shearing the plant layer (plants) (6) of natural turf (2) for maintaining the desired length of the above natural turf (2) at least equal in length to the fibers (10) of the artificial turf (3).

EFFECT: improved turf quality.
