FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes building a computer model of the chosen tread design, selecting target functions and restrictions on input and output variables, numerically solving the problem of optimizing the objective functions by searching for the extreme value, determining the optimal values of the essential parameters of the tread parts and materials for its manufacture and verifying the possibility of achieving the found in the course of solving the problem of optimizing the values of parameters by computer simulation of the technological processes of manufacturing tread parts and its assembly and calculation of dependencies "composition - properties" of a rubber. As a mandatory objective function in the optimisation phase, the absence of a tread protrusion from the tire surface in the process of a movement during the computer simulation of the movement of the tire with the tread in different modes is selected. The removable tread has a lower surface of curvilinear shape approximated by three radii of curvature R1, R2, R3, the value of which decreases from the center of the tread cross section to the periphery in the ratio 1:0.9:0.8.
EFFECT: increase the reliability of fixing the removable tread on the treadmill of the tire by optimizing its design for tires of the specified size.
