FIELD: tires.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tire production – recovery of pneumatic tires, mainly large-size ones. In particular, disclosed is a method of reconditioning pneumatic tires, preferably large-size tires, including roughing the surface of the running part of the reconditioned (old) tire, application of glue and/or application of additional unvulcanised raw rubber layer with subsequent application of ready tread vulcanised with grousers and final finishing covulcanisation of the whole tire.
EFFECT: method is characterized by the fact that in order to increase the quality and reduce labour intensity, the ready vulcanised rubber tire tread with grousers is made in the form of a ring with an inner circumference (perimeter) length greater than the rough tire outer circumference length, wherein prior to application it, cut is made along tread ring generatrix to level inner circumference (perimeter) length of cut tread ring and length of outer circumference of the tire prepared for repair.
