FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method of analog-to-digital conversion with analog sampling frequency control by controlling the variability of a digital signal is proposed, which consists in that the up/down sampling control signals are set after the comparison with the specified allowable harmonic amplitude value at the Nyquist frequency, obtained by digital filtering one harmonic from the sequence of N digital signal samples from the analog-to-digital converter output. Wherein the externally specified number N of the digital filter samples and the allowable value of the harmonic amplitude at the Nyquist frequency are set a priori at the rational choice of a permissible error value from aliasing and the value of the sampling flow rate based on the data on the spectrum model of typical signals to be converted, and a device for implementing said method is proposed as well.

EFFECT: providing the specified accuracy of the analog-to-digital conversion due to providing controlled reduction or exclusion of the discrete signal representation by means of controlling the sampling frequency.
