FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: when pressing the "ON" button on the control panel of the microcontroller, a speed sensor inquiry is initiated according to the programme recorded in it; the current speed value is recorded in the microcontroller memory and compared with the recorded speed value. After releasing the accelerator pedal, the microcontroller outputs control signals proportional to the current and the stored speed mismatch, coming to the engine control driver. A DC electric motor, the cable mechanism of which is connected to the accelerator pedal cable, changes the accelerator pedal cable tension, ensuring maintaining the vehicle speed stored in the microcontroller memory. When the "ON" button is pressed, pulses from the speed sensor and the tachometer come to the microcontroller, where the vehicle speed and the engine speed are determined. After releasing the accelerator pedal, the microcontroller programme selects the most optimal speed control mode, taking into account the permissible engine speed.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the cruise control operation.
