FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: method of power transmission between slave (8) and main engines (1) of a helicopter consists in, at some flight stages, adding to the power of main engines (1) of the power of the auxiliary engine (8) by connecting the drive shaft (82) of the auxiliary engine (8) to the drive shaft (25) or power transmission shaft (31) of the main engine. The structure for power transmission includes main engines (1,1') and APU (auxiliary engine) (8), the engines (1,1') contain a gas generator (2; 81) coupled with gears (6) and gear boxes 7 of auxiliary units for mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic power offtake. The APU (8) is connected with a power conversion unit (83, 84, 11). The power conversion unit (83, 84, 11) is coupled with the main and auxiliary equipment though a gear (6) and/or gear box (7) of auxiliary units of the main engines (1, 1').

EFFECT: possibility of using the auxiliary engine in flight.
