SUBSTANCE: method for supplying non-propulsive power of an aircraft, comprising driving shaft (13) of system (1) for controlling the environment of the aircraft during the flight phase of the aircraft by a combination of energy sources selected from: auxiliary power unit (4), starter/generator (18) and means (63) for supplying auxiliary air. Auxiliary power unit (4) generates a driving air flow of free turbine (5) integral with shaft (13) of environmental control system (1). Starter/generator (18) is, during starter operation, supplied with electricity by means of generator/starter (46) of auxiliary power unit (4).
EFFECT: reduction of overall dimensions and weight, and high energy efficiency of the aircraft.
