FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: propulsion system of the high-speed rotary winged aircraft comprises a translational power propeller and contra-rotating rotors, an engine and a main gear for their movement, and an overrunning clutch selectively engaged with said main gear in such a manner that the torque, developed by rotors system as a result of autorotation, is absorbed by translational power propeller during high-speed flight. The blades of the upper rotor are rigidly fixed to the inner shaft of coaxial drive, and the lower rotor is equipped with a swash plate and is mounted on its outer tubular shaft, both drive shafts are kinematically connected to the double differential axes equipped with the ground control brakes of the respective axle shafts, including two open differential with the common intermediate axis of the locking brake of switching the modes of their synchronous or momentary contra-rotation. On rigid rotor blade tips, vertical blades of Dar'ya rotor can be installed.

EFFECT: increasing aerodynamic efficiency.
