FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of carbon-containing wastes disposal includes the selection of the carbon-containing component from wastes, cooling of the carbon-containing component, the catalytic synthesis of methanol from the carbon-containing component. The exhaust gases from the gas turbine plants of the main gas pipelines gas transmission compressor stations are used as wastes. The carbon dioxide is selected from these gases, it is cooled in the heat exchanger of the gas turbine plant, then it is hydrogenated on the copper-containing catalyst in the methanol synthesis reactor. The hydrogen for the carbon dioxide hydrogenation is obtained by the high-temperature electrolysis of water on the oxygen-conducting membrane. The required electrolysis temperature is maintained by the heat, generated in the heat exchanger of the gas turbine plant, while cooling the carbon dioxide. The oxygen, separated on occasion with the help of the membrane, is added to the natural gas, sent as the fuel for the gas turbine plant.
EFFECT: carbon-containing wastes disposal simplification and reduction of the methanol cost.
