FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in dissolving 1.0-5.0 wt % of atactic polypropylene in a melt of bitumen in a heated reactor with a stirrer. Atactic polypropylene, produced on the catalytic system of TiCl4/MgCl2+AlEt3, and the binder is prepared at 165-180°C for 0.5-2.0 hours with a constant ventilation of the reactor gas phase with air at a flow rate of 0.1-0.5 l/min⋅kg of polypropylene.
EFFECT: increasing the processability of the process, simplifying the method of preparing a binder having increased resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation and aging, high adhesion properties, hardness and heat resistance, extended temperature range of serviceability, which significantly extends the life of the road surface covering without carrying out maintenance repairs.
