FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in determining the relative position in a group of moving objects with the measurement of the viewing angles of the set of optical frames of the object "master" by the measuring sets of objects "slaves", wherein the coordinates of the sets of the optical frames, their relative position, as well as the coordinates and position of the measuring set of each object in its coordinate system are known, the measuring sets of "slaves" measure the viewing angles of the diagrams' maximums of the total radiation of a set of optical frames of the "master", transmit, modulating the radiation of the optical frames of the "master", the identification numbers of the "slaves", their images and the coordinates of the places in the "master" coordinate system, where the images of "slaves" must be positioned, installed for specific group, taking into account its movement pattern, and parameters of the relative position are calculated by the measuring sets of each "slave".

EFFECT: determination of the relative position of objects for group control, taking into account its movement pattern, increased accuracy due to the use of an extremely correlative method of image analysis.
