FIELD: test and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring distance between objects relates to monitoring and measuring techniques, in particular, to mutual objects (or separate parts of one object) position control by means of optical-electronic methods, and can be used to control mutual objects position in space. Method substance is as follows: a frame with objects images is formed, several specific features are determined on the objects image, said specific features determine the objects position in space, correction coefficients of communications of their position with the real change of object position are determined to coordinates of these features are determined in the image of each object. Integral center position of each image is determined according to the principle of summation of coordinates of specific features taking into account correction coefficients, and then the distance between objects, defined as product of the distance between the integral centers of images and the scaling coefficient, binding size of the base actual section with its size on the frame are calculated.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced quality requirements for executing separate units of the system implementing the disclosed method, versatility of device operation, reduced requirements to accuracy of installing parts of the system.
