SUBSTANCE: tobacco smoke filter or tobacco smoke filtering element comprises a wrapper wrapped around a longitudinally extending core of the tobacco smoke filtering material, the first end of the wrapper being disposed substantially flush with the first end of the core around which it is wrapped, and the second end of the wrapper extending beyond the second end of the core around which it is wrapped, forming a cavity at the second end of the filter or the filtering element, and glue disposed between the wrapper and the core, wherein the glue is absent on the wrapper part extending beyond the second end of the core around which the wrapper is wrapped to form a cavity, and an additive disposed at a distance from the second end of the core. The tobacco smoke filter or the tobacco smoke filtering element comprises a wrapper wrapped around the longitudinally extending core of the tobacco smoke filtering material. The first end of the wrapper is disposed substantially flush with the first end of the core around which it is wrapped, and the second end of the wrapper extends beyond the second end of the core around which it is wrapped, in such a way that the radial inner surface of the wrapper that extends beyond the second end of the core around which it is wrapped forms a cavity or a recess at the second end of the filter or the filtering element, and glue disposed between the wrapper and the core. The glue is absent on the radial inner surface of the wrapper that extends beyond the second end of the core around which the wrapper is wrapped and the filter or the filtering element contains an additive disposed at a distance from the second end of the core.

EFFECT: reducing glue consumption, reducing carbon contamination, reducing knife contamination during production, no need to perform the stage of pushing the cores into the space between the core and the wrapper to form a cavity.
