FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: composition comprises a multimodal random propylene copolymer with, at least, one comonomer selected from alpha-olefin with 2 or 4-8 carbon atoms and a nucleating agent that is different from the beta-nucleating agent. Herewith a random propylene copolymer contains, at least, random propylene copolymer having low molecular weight (low molecular weight fraction (LMW)) and random propylene copolymer having a high molecular weight (high molecular weight fraction (HMW)). The comonomer content of the propylene copolymer is of 4.0 to 14 mol %. The composition has impact resistance of Charpy notched specimens at 23°C of, at least, 30 kJ/m, determined according to ISO 179/1eA:2000, and the crystallization temperature Tc of 105°C to 120°C.

EFFECT: produced composition of the nucleated random propylene copolymer has improved balance of characteristics with respect to mechanical properties, including impact strength and processing properties.
