FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polypropylene composition intended to make articles by injection moulding and a method for its production. Composition comprises a heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO) comprising a matrix representing polypropylene, an elastomeric ethylene-propylene copolymer (EC) dispersed in said matrix, and a nucleating agent constituting a polymeric nucleating agent. Elastomeric ethylene-propylene copolymer consists of two fractions of an elastomeric ethylene-propylene copolymer (EC1) and (EC2).

EFFECT: propylene composition of the present invention has a high impact strength at room temperature and at a temperature of -20 °C without reduction of its rigidity, and a significant melt flow rate allows for efficient processing.
