FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mixture of methane-ethane, air and water vapour is used as the gaseous reagents, the volume ratio of the methane-ethane/air/water vapour mixture is maintained at 1:2.36:(0-0.4). The volume part of the water vapour corresponds to the relative ethane concentration value in the methane-ethane mixture, the gaseous reagents are separately heated up to the temperatures of 700-720°C, mixed and subjected to partial oxidation and combined conversion to produce the synthesis gas, which is rapidly cooled up to 300-350°C, using the "gas-liquid" heat exchangers, locking the soot formation process, then the synthesis gas is further cooled, provide the compression and supply of the compressed and heated to the temperature of 190-230°C of the synthesis gas to the methanol synthesis reactor, where the catalyst is disposed in the tube bundle tubes, maintain the isothermal mode in the mentioned reactor by boiling the water in the shell side at pressure of 2.4-4.0 MPa, heated by the heat, released during the methanol synthesis reaction, and also by the heat of the flue gases, the resulting methanol gas is transferred into the liquid phase, cooled up to 30-40°C, and the liquid product is output from the process. The unreacted synthesis gas is subjected to the repeated resynthesis of methanol in additional reactors, followed by selection of the final product. The invention also relates to the low-tonnage plant for the methanol production. The proposed invention makes it possible to obtain methanol in the amount of at least 80 vol. %.
