FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reactor for catalytic steam and steam-carbon-dioxide conversion of hydrocarbons, comprising a cylindrical body with an elliptical bottom, covered with a lid. In the interior, along the body cylindrical portion, a plurality of vertical heating bayonet tubes are attached equipped with burners and fuel, oxidant supply fittings and a stack gas removal fitting, mounted along the cylindrical portion. The reactor is characterized by its bayonet tubes made of ceramic material and burners arranged inside the bayonet tubes.
EFFECT: application of the proposed reactor provides more thorough methane processing due to increased upper border of the catalytic process temperature.
