FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: direct current thyristor switch for electric vehicle is made of n power thyristors connected to each other by anodes forming a switch of a common terminal. Power thyristors catodes form n switching channels, each of which is provided by n thyristor optopairs, which thyristors are connected to control electrodes of power thyristors and all n thyristor common for optopairs with non-grounded direct current source. Optical diodes of the optopairs are connected between the second grounded low-voltage direct current source and n outputs of a decoder, which input is connected to analog-to-digital converter circuit. Switching of channels is effected by varying voltage at the input of analog-to-digital converter. This device can be widely used in electric cars and various types of high-current voltage controllers at industrial facilities.
EFFECT: increased number of switched high-current channels and increased reliability of high-current switch operation.
