FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: wet spark arrestor contains a flue gas outlet from a flue gas source, a gas outlet, a water tank, a flushing pipe, a drain pipe, and a supplementary air supply chamber. The spark arrester also contains an electric motor with, at least, one rotary disc-atomizer immersed in a water tank, above which an inclined tray is installed, a partition wall and a deflector serving to direct the air flow into the zone of water curtains, two labyrinth filters. Water curtains are created by, at least, one disc-atomizer and fed through the inclined water tray through the irrigation liquid supply line. Herewith the first labyrinth filter is installed in the chamber for additional air supply, and the second - at the output of the spark arrestor.
EFFECT: reducing water consumption due to the use of supplied water in the closed consumption cycle, which leads to reduction in water consumption, improving the spark suppression through a double water curtain, and reducing heat generation in the flue due to additional airflow from the room.
