SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compound having the structure of formula RA-LA-G-LB-RB (A), where each of the RA and RB is independently derived from a member selected from the group consisting of 5-fluoro-1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborol; 5-chloro-1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborol; 1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborol; and their combinations; Part -LA-G-LB- formulas (A) are prepared from a diol compound or a diamine; the diol compound is selected from the group consisting of 1,2-ethylene glycol; 1,2-propylene glycol; 1,3-propylene glycol; 1,1,2,2-tetramethyl-1,2-ethylene glycol; 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propylene glycol; 1,6-hexanediol; 1,10-decanediol; And their combinations; and the diamine compound is 1,2-ethylenediamine; 1,3-propylenediamine; or a combination thereof; and its agronomically acceptable salts. A method for using a compound against pathogens that attack meat, plants or parts of plants is also provided.
EFFECT: compounds have antimicrobial activity and can be used as antimicrobial agents in agriculture.
