FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: aqueous lime-magnesia suspension contains solid particles corresponding to the general formula aCa(OH)2⋅bMg(OH)2⋅cMgO⋅dI in which a, b and c are weight fractions, the sum of which is from 90 to 100%, I is a material that can contain impurities selected from materials based on SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, MnO, P2O5 SO3, Calcium oxide, CaCO3 and MgCO3, and d is from 0 to 10 wt %, in an aqueous medium. The concentration of solids is greater than or equal to 200 g/kg. The lime-magnesia suspension also contains an additive which is simultaneously a viscosity reducing agent and a viscosity retarding agent. The additive is a phosphonate or phosphonic acid, which are present in an amount of an active acid greater than or equal to 0.05 wt % and less than or equal to 5 wt %.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the concentration of solids in the slurry with decreasing viscosity and slowing the viscosity increase when storing lime milk.
