FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for preparation of an aqueous suspension, containing calcium carbonate, includes providing of a substance containing calcium carbonate, in the form of diluted in water sediment or suspension, having a content of solid particles of at least 45 % per total weight of the diluted in water sediment or suspension. There is realized interaction of a substance containing calcium carbonate, with at least one salt of phosphonic acid alkali metal to produce a suspension with pH 10-4. That is followed by interactions of the suspension with at least one phosphonic acid in order to obtain a suspension with pH 8-10. At least one salt of phosphonic acid alkali metal is taken in the amount of 0.01 to 5 % by weight, and at least one phosphonic acid in the amount from 0.001 to 0.5 % per total weight of dry substance containing calcium carbonate. Produced suspension can be crushed.

EFFECT: invention enables to produce a suspension containing calcium carbonate without using a binding agent based on latex and preserving stable rheological properties with time in presence of sodium silicate and/or sodium hydroxide.
