FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: nose cowl can serve as the first stage, and the rest of the rocket - as the second one. The proposed device includes a separation device and an electric coupling unit. This unit is installed perpendicular to the outer surface of the second stage and contains a bushing fixed in the housing with an electrical connector. On the upper part of the bushing, a lid with a groove for placing a harness is secured. The upper surface of the lid repeats the outer circumference of the rocket. The separation device is made of two parts: one is a shear mechanism and the other comprises a tube with a stopper rigidly connected to the first stage housing, parallel to the rocket axis, and a cassette for placing the folded harness. The cassette is pivotally connected to the tube and fixed to the housing of the first stage. The thrust of the shear mechanism is installed with the possibility of longitudinal movement in the tube until contact with the limiter.

EFFECT: decreased dynamic loads, in particular, on the fairing during its separation, improved streamlining of the rocket.
