FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel high-pressure pumps (FHPP). A plunger pair of a FHPP consisting of a sleeve 2 with a supply 3 and a fuel outlet holes 4 is provided, a plunger 1 having two lateral symmetrically arranged metering edges 6 with respect to the vertical axis. In one embodiment, the idle grooves 5 are formed on the lateral surface of the plunger, reaching the idle spots 9 delimited by vertical sides which are continuation of the idle grooves, radial cutting edges 10 and metering edges 6. Instead of vertical groove on the side surface of the plunger, axial 7 and radial drilling 8 can be made. In another embodiment, vertical grooves 5 are formed in the plunger, passing into the inclined metering edges 6 enveloping the plunger, and at an angle extending to the end of the plunger and forming idle spots 9. An annular cavity is also provided on the plunger, the cutting edge 10 of which is located in the area of the fuel outlet hole 4, and along the plunger axis 1, drilling 7 is performed to the zone of the annular cavity, which intersects with the radial drilling 8 in the cavity zone.
