FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed plunger pair comprises bush with two filling holes made tangentially to annular groove on plunger. Filling holes are arranged either under or above shut-off hole. Plunger is provided with control grooves to interact with shut-off hole. Said annular groove communicates via radial and axial holes with above-plunger chamber. Filling hole is made in the bush above under shut-off hole. End face metering edge is made on plunger lateral surface, below annular groove, to produce with annular groove a common chamber. Height of said edge makes 0.3…0.4 of total stroke of the plunger.
EFFECT: reduced fuel feed start angle in starting diesel, reduced diesel starting time.
