SUBSTANCE: vehicle engine control device comprises an accelerator position sensor, a stop/start detection means based on the accelerator position opening, a motor control means performing stop/start of the engine, and a means for re-acceleration situation prediction. The engine control means is configured, such that the engine stop is inhibited while the engine is running, and the engine starts running according to the accelerator opening based on the accelerator position opening, while the engine is stopped when the re-acceleration prediction means predicts a situation of engine re-acceleration.
EFFECT: engine will not start at an unexpected moment.
