SUBSTANCE: system comprises at least one drive device (3) for moving at least one part (T) of the housing in the space (XYZ) with three degrees of freedom, and a central control device (5) for each drive device (3). The control device (5), depending on the data obtained by the sensors (7), which can continuously determine the positions of the key points (A, B, C) on each part (T) of the housing, actuates the drive devices (3) for approaching and connecting the housing parts (T) to one another, controlling the relative position between the key points (A, B, C) of the parts (T) and the absolute position of the parts (T) in the space (XYZ) by means of the sensors (7). The sensors (7) comprise at least one laser measuring device (71) which is made with the possibility of moving by a carriage movably mounted along a guide (70) arranged along the horizontal axis (X).
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and quality of the vehicle body assembly.
