FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing of dental restoration material containing glass material or glass ceramics based on lithium silicate is characterized in that: a) amorphous glass of the following composition: 50-75 wt % of SiO2, 17-25 wt % of Li2O, 10-20 wt % of a stabiliser selected from the group consisting of ZrO2, HfO2 and mixtures thereof, 0-10 wt % of Al2O3, 0-10 wt % of K2O, and 0-20 wt % of additives are provided as a billet, b) the billet is converted into dental restoration material by at least one conversion process, which is casting for the waxes to be melted, and during this conversion process, at least partial crystallization occurs due to elevated temperatures; wherein the stabiliser is present in substantially amorphous state. Dental restoration material made by the above method is also provided.
EFFECT: dental restoration material has high strength, transparency and chemical resistance.
