FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: injector is adapted to be fixed in the wall of the cylinder with the nozzle rod passing through the cylinder wall and with the nozzle jet at the inner end of the injector rod. The nozzle stem comprises a cylindrical bore of the valve seat with a movable valve body having a cylindrical sealing surface that cooperates with the cylindrical bore of the valve seat in the nozzle stem, the valve body is biased by a spring to effectively close the valve. The valve body is formed by a cylindrical rod having a circular groove in the cylindrical sealing surface of the valve body. The annular groove is located on the inner end of the valve body with parts of the cylindrical sealing surface of the valve body on each side of the annular groove. The annular groove is connected to the nozzle jet as the valve body moves forward, i.e. against the direction of the spring action.
EFFECT: increased reliability and uniformity of fuel injection.
