FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: device for pulling the fiber bundles in a pressurized vapour environment comprises an elongated drawing chamber (2) having a predominantly rectangular section of low height in which the tows (T) are subjected to treatment with saturated or superheated steam at a high temperature and pressure and simultaneously subjected to a mechanical pulling operation. The pulling chamber (2) has a sufficient width to accommodate a plurality of tows (T) disposed adjacent to each other in the moving plane and is formed in a draw container (1) made of aluminium. The pulling container (1) is placed in a support structure (3-9) having a higher structural rigidity than the pulling container (1), which comprises a plurality of contact elements (8-9) adapted to determine a predetermined position of the container (1) For stretching with respect to a direction perpendicular to the plane of movement of the tows (z-axis) and to provide limited mobility of the drawer (1) in two other directions perpendicular to each other that lie in said flat spine (the axes x and y, width and length, respectively), sufficient to allow thermal expansion of the container (1) for drawing in the two directions at the same time maintaining mentioned container flat, despite the influence of internal stresses capable of inducing buckling and twisting of the drawer (1).
