FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: antibody or its fragment are described that have immunological reactivity to an incomplete CAPRIN-1 polypeptide consisting of an amino acid sequence specified in SEQ ID NO: 5. A pharmaceutical composition for cancer treatment or prevention comprising the antibody or a fragment thereof as an active ingredient is also described. A method for cancer treatment or prevention, including application of this antibody or a fragment thereof, is also provided. The invention can be applied in a therapeutic or prophylactic agent against cancer.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of treatment and prevention.
