SUBSTANCE: method is proposed in which it is discovered, when a link contained in an electronic message, that was created and sent by the author to the first recipient, is sent to the second recipient by the first recipient; through the permission manager, a notification message is automatically sent to the author indicating that electronic message including the link has been forwarded from the first recipient to the second recipient and that the second recipient has access to the electronic message but not authorized by the author to access the content associated with the link; authorization settings for a link are accepted from the author through the permission options provided with the notification message to set permissions on the link to control access to said content by the second recipient; permissions on the link for the seconf recipient by usinf permission settings, received from the author.

EFFECT: improved control over access to content, represented by related links in electronic messages.
